Black Hills State University will host the 2026 Spring Career Fairs, giving employers hiring for teaching, internships, and jobs the opportunity to connect with BHSU students looking for careers that align with their major and interests. The career fairs will take place February 24 in the Young Center Field House.
“Attending BHSU career fairs allows employers to do more than collect applications,” says Jin Woo Kim, director of Career Development at BHSU. “It gives them the opportunity to market their organization, culture, and commitment to the Black Hills directly to students who want to stay in the area. Being physically present on campus builds brand recognition and trust, helping employers stand out as local, invested partners rather than just another online posting.”
The day will begin with the BHSU Teacher Fair from 9 a.m. to noon, giving education‑focused students the opportunity to connect with school districts and other employers. In the afternoon, the Yellow Jackets Job and Internship Fair will run from 1 to 3 p.m., welcoming students from all majors to meet with local employers.
“For employers focused on building a stable, long-term workforce, recruiting in person at BHSU is not just effective, it’s strategic. We want our students to find a career, not just another job,” Kim noted.
