Financial Aid

Students may utilize federal financial aid during the Summer. Pell Grant funds will automatically be awarded and accepted when BHSU receives a 2025-2026 FAFSA and reviews Summer enrollment. To request Federal Direct Loans or Federal Work-Study, the student should email BHSUFinancial@BHSU.edu and ask for the “Summer 2025 Aid Request” form. Be sure to include your BHSU Student ID number with the request.

Federal aid requirements for Summer are the same as for Fall and Spring. These include, but are not limited to:

• The student must be enrolled at least half-time (6 credit hours for undergraduate students; 3 credit hours for graduate students) to be eligible for federal loans.
• The student must be enrolled as a degree-seeking student.
• The student must have a valid 2025-2026 FAFSA with BHSU (school code 003459) listed to receive the results.
• The student must be meeting Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress requirements.

NOTE: Federal Loans and Grants will NOT pay to your account until after the start of the Summer term or the start of your first class, whichever is later.
