PSI CHI Requirements
Undergraduate Students shall be enrolled in the Institution, have registered for major or minor standing in psychology (or for a major or minor in a closely related program that is psychological in 
nature), and have all of the following:
1. at least 3 semesters (minimum 36 semester hours) or equivalent of college coursework completed,
2. 9 semester hours or equivalent of psychology coursework completed,
3. a minimum 3.0 psychology course GPA, and
4. a cumulative GPA that ranks in the upper 35% of their class (sophomore, junior, senior) in general scholarship (minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale). Chapters must use the largest class comparisons possible, either across the entire university or the entire college.

Dear psychology major or minor,
The BHSU Chapter of Psi Chi cordially invites you to apply for lifetime membership. Psi Chi is the International Honor Society in Psychology, and membership depends upon class standing and academic achievement. We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated students who represent our increasingly diverse and global society. Your one lifetime membership fee will be $60 after you are approved to join. Psi Chi provides members of all races, ethnicities, genders, social and economic classes, and backgrounds with opportunities to make the most of their unique skills and talents. Service, networking, and professional development opportunities are available on campus, locally, regionally, and nationally. All members receive:
· A lifetime membership certificate, and the ability to include membership on your resumé
· Online resources and Psi Chi’s magazine, which provide specific guidance and tools about graduate school applications, career advancement, conducting research, promoting diversity, leadership, and more
· Sixteen $3,000 scholarships awarded annually for undergrad and graduate students
· Publishing opportunities in Psi Chi’s peer-reviewed journal, which accepts undergrad, graduate, and faculty research in all areas of psychology
· $400,000 in annual awards and grants for student research, convention travel, chapter involvement, diversity, and more
· Diversity Article Awards of $600 each to primary authors of articles related to diversity
· NICE, our Network for International Collaborative Exchange, which allows members to become involved in cross-cultural research
Finally, we also are looking for students to take on leadership roles in Psi Chi at our school to organize meetings and events. We welcome new ideas, diverse perspectives, and broad representation of social identities and cultural backgrounds.
