Daluss Siewert is a professor of mathematics and the chair of the School of Mathematics and Social Sciences. His Ph.D., from the University of Colorado Denver, focused on the Boolean rank of tournament matrices which is part of the field of combinatorial matrix theory. His recent work has been on using research-based instruction to improve math outcomes with underprepared students. He has also been active in the Mathematical Association of America at both the regional and national level. He served a term as chair of the Rocky Mountain Section and co-organized the undergraduate student paper sessions at the national summer meetings for many years.
