Tirzah Knight

Tirzah Knight is the Director of Student Financial Aid. She joined the Black Hills State University family in 2023 with experience in financial aid since 2014 and higher education since 2011. As a first-generation college student, she understands how confusing and overwhelming paying for college can be, and she works hard to help students and their families make informed decisions about their education plans. Tirzah is a Philo Brasher Emerging Leadership Award recipient and holds several NASFAA credentials.

Tirzah grew up in Lily, SD and is glad to call South Dakota her home once again after living out of state since 2011. She and her husband Travis live in Spearfish with their three boys. When they can, they get outside and enjoy the walking, hiking, and biking trails that the Black Hills has to offer.
