Dr. Brianna Billington is originally from the Baltimore, Maryland region. Her post-secondary education includes a B.S. in English and Secondary Education (dual major) from Towson University, an M.A.Ed. in Administration and Supervision from the University of Phoenix, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Management with a concentration in Learning Technologies from Drexel University. She previously worked as a high school English teacher in a Baltimore area public school for nine years, as an English teacher and team lead at a virtual academy based on the east coast for three years, and as online faculty for Western Governors University for over ten years.
Dr. Billington began at BHSU in 2022, where she teaches various undergraduate and graduate-level courses for the School of Education, specializing in educational technology classes. She also serves on the Academic Technology Committee. Her research interests include instructional technology in the classroom and pre-service teacher preparation.
Outside of the classroom and research, Dr. Billington enjoys exploring the outdoors in the Black Hills and playing volleyball. She is married and resides in Spearfish with her husband and four children.
