Black Hills State University held its annual Student Volunteer Awards ceremony Thursday, April 13. Hosted by the Student Engagement and Leadership Center to recognize the outstanding contributions of its students, this year marked the 31st anniversary of the awards.

“This has been the year of trying new programs and new student organizations being started to appeal to a wide variety of interests,” said Jessie Gramm, student engagement coordinator at BHSU. “I loved watching each student leader grow in leadership from planning exciting new events, stepping up into new leadership roles, starting new organizations, or simply helping their organization get more involved on campus.”
