BHSU Alumni Foundation To Host Fundraising Dinner in Honor of President Roosevelt’s 164th Birthday

President Theodore Roosevelt is making a special visit to the Black Hills to celebrate his 164th birthday. Impersonated by Joe Wiegand, all are invited to join the Trust-Buster himself for a BHSU Alumni Foundation benefit dinner at the Round House in Lead, Oct. 27 at 6 p.m.

Wiegand has been impersonating the late President Roosevelt for decades, visiting each of the fifty states to lend his likeness at events, ceremonies, and celebrations. Famously, Wiegand entertained President George W. Bush and his family at a commemoration of Theodore Roosevelt's 150th birthday at the White House. Described as larger than life, Wiegand delights his guests with his palpable passion for history.

The dinner offers guests a night of entertainment and delicious food. Admission fees are $100 a plate. Proceeds go to scholarships for BHSU students involved in political science and history.
